About the Author/Illustrator
Charles Thomas "Stompin' Tom" Connors crisscrossed Canada singing songs he had written about its workers, farmers, working women and other humble people, becoming one of the most successful musicians of all times. Gary Clement is an award-winning Canadian artist, cartoonist, illustrator and writer. He has won the Governor General's Award for illustration, draws a daily political cartoon for the National Post, and has freelance illustrations appearing in many other newspapers and magazines across North America.
